PRESIDENT - Chris Lee

Chris Lee grew up in Auburn, Michigan, which is a small town located between Midland and Bay City. Now residing on Sanford Lake located just outside of Midland with his family consisting of wife, Kim and 4 children. The two oldest are Zach, 16, and Lindsay, 15. The two younger children are Taylor, 6 and Peyton, 3. Chris started working as a DJ in 1983 on a small radio station, WCHW 91.3 FM. His DJ career had a brief interruption when he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1986 and served our country until 1991 while also attending college pursuing a degree in Business. During that time he resided in several different states including Texas, Illinois, and Southern California which exposed him to several different styles of music. Upon returning to Michigan in 1991 and restarting his entertainment career he continued business college and also began working fulltime for the Dow Chemical Company. Chris was the sole entertainer at the company he officially started in 1997 called "Flipside Entertainment".  Flipside Entertainment is now a multi unit operation and is continually growing.  Chris moved to all computer based systems in 2001 and now produces fully interactive events which also feature large digital audio, video, and karaoke systems including multiple giant screens, staging, and full DMX light shows. 
 
Chris is a firm believer in networking and has attended several disc jockey conferences in Las Vegas, Orlando, Chicago, Detroit, and Niagra Falls. Along with the entire Michigan Chapter of the ADJA board, Chris will work hard not only to attract more members but also believes in making monthly meetings more than just meetings. Exciting content and quality will remain a constant focus while he serves the board. Chris highly values membership input and representation. Raising industry standards, customer perception and education are also long standing goals.

VICE-PRESIDENT - Matthew Kirkpatrick vp@miadja.org

Matthew Kirkpatrick - started his Disc Jockey career in February 2001 playing Top 40 remix at local night clubs in the Metro Detroit area. During the summer of 2003 he founded Dreamscapes Entertainment which primarily focuses on Weddings, Corporate Events and local area Schools. Through his 5 years he has received numerous awards both locally and nationally for his charity work.

Matthew is very excited to serve as Vice President of our chapter. While in office with the MIADJA he will continue his efforts to improve its growing membership base and work with them to improve their shows.


  MEMBERSHIP- Jack Brown md@miadja.org

Jack Brown started spinning vinyl while in High School in the early 70’s. He attended Oakland C.C. and Central Michigan University majoring in Audio Visual Technology. He briefly owned and operated a mobile recording company specializing in audio recordings of weddings (what a concept!) before the advent of video camcorders! He has been a part-time DJ for over 30 years working on word-of-mouth referrals. He and Wife, Sandy decided to start their Mobile DJ company in 2003 and have shown steady growth specializing in personalized Wedding Receptions. He is nearing retirement from his full-time career as a Supervisor with the Road Commission for Oakland County and looks forward to being a full-time DJ! Jack has two adult sons and is currently attending the Second City Training Center. Determined to do things the "right" way, Jack joined the ADJA in 2005 and was anxious to get involved in starting the new local chapter and working with like-minded professionals to raise the bar for all.



TREASURER - Sara Gharacheh

Sara Gharacheh - Sara grew up in Dearborn and attended Fordson High School which is where she discovered her love for spinnin’ records..  By the time she graduated high school, she had already played most of the major metro Detroit area nightclubs.   Regular patrons of the clubs she worked at began hiring her for their private events and weddings and Sara quickly became a busy mobile DJ.   In 2001, she founded Platinum Mix Productions, a mobile DJ & Video company specializing in utilizing the latest technology to create fun and unique events. 

SECRETARY - Mark Evans sec@miadja.org
Mark Evans - started his DJ career in 1979. He began working in teen discos then roller rinks to clubs. In 1984 he began his mobile DJ career. Mark is currently a moderator on Prodj.com and attends the Mobile Beat convention in Las Vegas every Feburary. Mark believes that networking is essential today as working with other DJ's helps build the industry. He also works with other dj's to help them get to their goals.
